Vintage underlined Snap-On 8 1/2" B-1462 drum brake adjustment spoon tool USA

Seller bought this
Snap-On (underlined) B-1462 brake adjustment spoon
at an estate sale, thinking he could stand to own one and knowing Snap-On was a good name brand. Yet he doesn't think he used it any--certainly no more than did Carl, of "Carl's Texaco", which is the
personalization lightly engraved on underside of handle
. In fact, he didn't know the spoon had been engraved until he wiped it off with WD-40 and inspected it closely ahead of taking the pictures. (See all 11 photos, using zoom magnification as desired--engraving shows better in low light than bright light.)  In any event, the spoon weighs 6.8 ounces, possesses a nice luster, and shows square ends that are scarcely even nicked from use. Tool does exhibit some few oxidation stains,  mostly on one side. And authentic as the engraving makes it, seller supposes it could be buffed off, only that will be the decision of someone else.
