RARE 1859 SEATED LIBERTY HALF DIME STARS OBV. NGC PROOF PF61 1 YEAR TYPE 800 MTG

This is a rare 1859 Seated Liberty half dime NGC Proof 61. It is a 1 year type as in 1859 the design of Liberty was redone and she has thinner arms and a taller overall look as well as the stars are hollow in the design. These were changed the next year and it also has a recut date as shown and has a light gray tone with needle sharp detail as expected. The reverse has fully struck wreath and a light cameo frost on the wreath and light gray tone as well. It is the last year and really only affordable stars obverse half dime that is available as anything earlier is very limited mintage and availability. It is a great coin that will be a highlight of your collection and is a very interesting piece because of it's special place as a 1 year type coin not to mention looks to be a bit under graded to me.
