    Description

    This Kuna Mola measures about 17" x 15".
    Folks, some time ago I bought a box of molas from the children of missionaries that served in the San Blas Islands in the 1950-1960 period. The Islands are home to the Kuna mola artists so of course they became collectors.
    This mola is in superb condition for its age. Folks, the colors are really bright as you would expect with a molas stored in a dark place.. Plus this beauty may have been part of a Kuna blouse.  The artists only use their best molas for their blouses. Showoffs!
    I labeled this mola Kingfisher because it looks like these fellows are out to catch lunch.
    Look at the stitching on the reverse side. There is a lot of time in this mola.
