The Funko company recently began their Funko Gold series. Slightly different from the Funko Pop Rocks line of rock stars, the Gold series is musicians, usually holding a guitar. In today's rockin' great deal, you'll get a TRIPLE SHOT of Jimi Hendrix goodness!
First up is the 2022 Funko Gold series Jimi Hendrix figure! Brand new, never opened or displayed. In its original box. Bell bottoms and bandanas were in fashion in the late 60s and early 70s! Hendrix, of course, began his amazingly short career in the late 60s, and was gone by 1970. But what a legacy of great music he left the world!
The second and third items in this Hendrix bundle is two DVD movies. The first came out in 2000, and is much like the "rockumentary" films out now, like 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'The Dirt', and 'Rocketman'. It stars Wood Harris as Jimi, and also stars Vivica A. Fox and Billy Zane. I've seen this, and it's actually a really good film! Disc has a few light surface marks on it, but nothing bad, or anything that will affect play. Case looks really good.
Second DVD is more of a documentary about Hendrix. Released in 2005, it collects vintage footage, interviews, and has a soundtrack that was worked on by Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer, and is in 5.1 surround sound! There is also over SEVENTY FIVE extra minutes of special features included! Like the first DVD, this one too has a few light surface marks on it. And like the other disc, it's nothing too bad, and won't affect play in any way. (Both have been play tested, and they play fine!)
The perfect holiday Christmas gift for that Hendrix fan in your life. Or collectors of Funko figures. Or fans of 60s and 70s psychedelic rock.
