    Description

    Floribunda Koko Loko rose
    Koko Loko Rose Basics
Form is excellent. It exhibits fully double classic high-centered blooms.
    Koko Loco’s
flowers are not particularly long-lived, which is a pity. Still, I’ve not yet met the perfect garden rose.  Foliage is dark green, providing excellent contrast with the flowers.  Growth is pretty typical for a Floribunda rose…around 3′ tall and well-branched. Blooms arrive in flushes throughout the growing season, well into fall.
Harsh afternoon light may wash the color of flowers with softer shades…this is also true to white flowers; consider afternoon shade for the bright flowers in the color spectrum (white, pink, lavender)…soft light makes them glow.
    Mauve or mauve blend Floribunda.
(PPAF) Milk chocolate and lavender? You have to see it to believe it! It’s hard to imagine a milky chocolate-colored bud maturing to a solid soft lavender blossom. The transition is so unusual and actually quite beautiful. The chocolate is creamy, like latte, but the latte goes ‘loco’ and finishes fully lavender. The blooms have impeccable show form and are long-lasting on the plant and in the vase. Rounded, bushy plants are chock full of deep green leaves that stay clean and healthy. Beyond its novelty, this is a great plant! Flower Size: 3-1/2 to 4-1/2″. Fragrance: Mild. Hybridizer: Bedard, 2012.
Milky chocolate suffusing to unusual lavender. Mild fragrance. 30 to 35 petals. Average diameter 4.5″. Medium-large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, classic hybrid tea, high-centered bloom form. Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long, pointed buds.
Medium, bushy, rounded. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.
    Height of 30″ to 35″ (75 to 90 cm).
Hybridizer: Christian Bdard (United States, 2010)
    Planting & Growing
Koko Loko Rose will grow to be about 4 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 3 feet. It tends to fill out right to the ground and therefore doesn't necessarily require facer plants in front. It grows at a fast rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 30 years.
This shrub should only be grown in full sunlight. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid.
    Thank you.
