Important Note about "vertical" monitors & video sources:
The monitors in all current Arcade1Up
Countercade
cabinets are oriented VERTICALLY - meaning they are rotated 90° compared to a traditional (horizontal) monitor.
Your video source must be intended for a vertical monitor.
If your game board or Pi image is intended for a normal (horizontal) monitor, it will display sideways on a vertical monitor.
This is not a unique requirement for this kit; it's common to
all
video converters and
all
cabinets with vertical displays.
The common "
60-in-1
" and "
412-in-1
" game boards output rotated ("vertical") video. There are also several Raspberry Pi images designed for vertical monitors.
