Hendrix got in trouble with the law at an early age. Given a choice between prison or joining the Army, he chose the latter and enlisted on May 31, 1961. after completing eight weeks of basic training at Fort Ord, California he was assigned to the 101 Airborne Division and stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was discharged in 1962 because of "improper behavior"  :) . He had an attitude problem and being forced to join the military only made things worse.
This is a grouping of nine (9) random single sided pages from his Official Military Personnel File that have been singled out for their content that relates to Jimi's behavior problems from before he enlisted up until his discharge.
