An absolutely gorgeous 1866 key date proof seated liberty half dime graded Proof 65 by PCGS. It carries a sharp proof quality strike with absolutely beautiful colorful toned surfaces. Looking directly at the coin it looks to have a darker patina but when tilted in the light you can see the variety of colors as shown in the PCGS Secure Photos provided. This coin has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This proof issue date holds a tiny mintage of only 725. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 550 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 20 graded Proof 65 by PCGS.
